January 14, 2025 - Marjan Kluepfel, Butterflies in (Free) Motion
Create a beautiful Butterfly wall quilt by fusing the butterflies in my pattern to a background and adding movement and texture with free motion quilting. Fusing makes this class fun and easy. You will learn machine quilting tricks to complete this colorful wall hanging. In class we will conduct a series of fun exercises in which you will create free form quilting designs without marking or templates. Each exercise leads you step by step in developing your own style and expertise to free motion quilting with confidence.
This workshop is suitable for intermediate quilters. Cost, $50. Class will be held at the Veterans Hall (downstairs) in Auburn. 9-3:30.

October 15, 2024 Laura Fraga, Trapunto and Ink Shading
Trapunto is a method of quilting that is also called stuffed technique. A puffy, decorative feature, trapunto utilizes at least two layers, the underside of which is slit and padded, producing a raised surface on the quilt. Laura will be bringing her own inks to demonstrate how shading can be done on your quilt for embellishment. Class cost $50. Location: Auburn Veterans Hall, 100 East Street.
