The idea originated in 1999 when the River City Quilters Guild and the Sutter Cancer Center co-sponsored a quilt auction that raised more than $57,000. The auctions since then have been in conjunction with all the local guilds and thanks to their generosity, proceeds have totaled over $500,000.
Since 1999 thousands of quilts have been donated by local quilters.
All proceeds are for Sutter Breast Cancer Awareness and Treatment programs.
All quilts must be turned into a local quilt store no later than September 1, 2017 and be accompanied by the Sutter Breast Cancer Quilt Auction donation form.
