Speakers & Workshops: Cindy Needham
Join us August 10, 2009, for our own Cindy Needham who will entertain us with her "Vintage Linen Quilts."Cindy has been a quilter for over 37 years with the first 25 devoted to her first love of hand quilting and the last 12 with her second love of machine quilting. Her book, Wholecloth Linen Quilts, was recently published through AQS and featured her work on antique linens. She was the Featured Artist at the Road to California Show in January 2008 which showcased her wholecloth linen quilts. Her love of design had led to unique opportunities to design stencils and she has had several designs featured in Quilters Newsletter Magazine. She was also a guest on Ricky Tims' and Alex Anderson's "The Quilt Show". She has taught quilting for over 12 years and is proud to be one of the nominees for Teacher of the Year by the Professional Quilter.
Cindy lives in Chico with her husband, Kent, who is a cabinet maker. She has two grown and married daughters and is the proud Nana to two granddaughters.
Open Thread Bar Workshop

This is a one-of-a-kind workshop where you will be treated to an "Open Thread Bar". This is a great class for all levels of quilters...even the beginner! Cindy will teach you the tricks of using all different types of threads in your machine, how to change your tensions, needles, thread delivery, bobbin work and so much more. Five cases of thread will be at your disposal while you spend the day using these threads making a reference panel and learn to audition threads doing thread play on provided floral panels.
