Our November speaker is Linda Sullivan from Colourwerx, a company she operates with her husband, Carl, in Palm Desert, California. It’s no surprise that Linda and Carl love color and love creating colorful contemporary quilt designs and patterns as well as teaching the art of quiltmaking!
With over 16 years experience as a professional quiltmakers, Linda and Carl are intensely passionate about the art of quiltmaking. Always searching for a twist on traditional quiltmaking, their designs are well known for their whimsical look, adventurous appliqué and fearless use of color.
To date, they have designed over 100 quilt patterns - many of them published in national magazines such as ‘Quick Quilts’ & ‘McCall’s Quilting’; authored two books; and even designed a “Fun and Bright” fabric line for P&B Textiles.
Today, they enjoy collaborating on designing patterns and creating quilts for their company Colourwerx, with many being featured at Free Spirit Fabrics, Island Batiks and in Quiltmania’s ‘Simply Moderné’ magazine as well as self publishing a line of best selling patterns.
They have no employees except for one…Molly, the Beagle, their office manager who runs their daily schedule and home life.
