Foothill Quilters Guild, PO Box 5653, Auburn CA 95604
The cost for the year is $20. This covers printing of the instructions and prizes. Check in each month with your completed blocks to be entered in the prize drawing and to pick up your new instruction sheet. If you miss a month you can pick up the instructions during the next guild meeting. You will need to have all of the blocks done every month, but you may choose to wait to sew them into rows. That might help with color placement when putting the top together.
The quilt finishes at approximately 62’x84”.
Border - 2 ½ yds if cutting length of fabric
1½ yds if cutting WOF and then piecing
Sashings - about 1½ yds
Blocks - lots and lots of assorted medium and darks
Lots and lots of assorted lights for backgrounds…tone on tone or small prints in white, cream, tan, gray, or very light pastels.
We look forward to seeing your fabric choices and the direction you take your quilt. They're all alike, but so very different!
This year's block of the month is a "row of the month."
Each month you will be given instructions for a set of blocks that will comprise one of the rows. You will choose you own colors and fabrics, and keep your own quilt.
We will be taking two months off. December and April (quilt show) are busy months for most of us, so there won't be extra pressure to complete a new row. If you complete every step, your top will be finished by the June guild meeting.
